Programming with this designation adheres to the provisions of the Children’s Section of CAB Violence Code. It is suggested that a parent/guardian co-view programming assigned this classification with younger children under the age of 8. By default it's often set to 720p which will look terrible. This classification is applied to children’s programming that is generally considered acceptable for youngsters 8 years and over to view on their own. Speaking of which, make sure you set your current box to 1080p or else 1080i in the settings if you have not already done so. At that size you might be better off with 1080p. It doesn't sound like you have an HDR TV though.Īlso a 50" screen is really small for 4k unless you sit extremely close to it. They keep saying they're going to implement it but I have heard little to nothing about it. Sports look great in 4k but it's not HDR which is disappointing. I'm not sure if they're still doing it but they gave me the 4k add-on for free for one year. Check out their promotions though, you might be able to get them to give you a 4k Nextbox for free. The way I looked at it was that it's better than renting a box which is just money out the window. I bought the 4k non-PVR box and I think it was $319. If you have a 4k TV and you watch a lot of sports you really should consider a 4k box. Thanks everyone and happy Canada day long weekend!! I hooked it up via hdmi if that makes any difference. I hooked it up but just doesn't look right. ![]() I didn't want to spend the $319 plus taxes to buy a nextbox 3.0 unit for downstairs and I know the 2.0 isn't good. I have a 46" Samsung 4 year old to in my main living room with a next box 3.0. I just purchased the series 6 Samsung 50" for my basement which is getting done. ![]()
